Halász utca apartment

We renovated an old apartment in Budapest. The building, overlooking the Danube, was built around 1890, and the main motif of the apartment became the Wave, as inspired by the river. The apartment, 131 sqm, was rebuilt according to our own design, with consistent colours and materials to create a harmonious atmosphere. 

The flat has three bedrooms and is ideally located in the city center, a few steps away from the Danube river, the parliament and fisherman’s bastion.

Like our previous apartments, it was in such a bad shape, that we had to gut the place. Every inner wall, the whole floor and every technical equipment needed to be thrown out to begin from a clean slate.

Most of the furnitures were hand-made and designed especially for us. Among other things, the wave-shaped kitchen area (8,5m long) is unique by its shape and made with premium material (Corian, etc.). The apartment also includes two vertical vegetable garden walls with automatic watering and lightning systems.
